Sustainably and fairly produced
Velospring stands for sustainable material and production with short distances: Fairly domestically produced parts, long transport routes are eliminated. For the overall concept, velospring was awarded the Eurobike Green Award.
The careful selection of suitable pieces of wood is made by the partner company Jonny B in Sulzburg-Laufen: according to interesting grain, but also to exclude defects such as cracks or knots.

Materially growing raw material – domestic wood
The walnut wood for the velospring bicycle grips comes from southern Germany, the Freiburg region. The region is striving to increase the proportion of nut trees through increased replanting. Walnut – from the walnut family. Beautiful and noble. Our most valuable native wood. Walnut wood is ideally suited for processing in this quality.
Weatherproof
Rain and sun, snow and ice do not bother the walnut handles when used regularly. The hand “polishes” after, so frequent cycling is the best care!
The sen handles are polished smooth in many operations and treated with natural oil, which forms a safe protection for the surface. The walnut wood species is known for its amazing robustness and offers a velvety smoothness even after years of use.
For very rarely used bike grips that are constantly exposed to the weather, velospring offers a care set just in case. Thus, the surface can be refreshed quite easily.
